Karoliina Korppoo is a Helsinki-born game designer, who worked on Cities: Skylines, which is a modern take on classic city simulation and it is the most downloaded PC game in Finland’s history. 

 

Korppoo studied visual
design and was determined to become a graphic designer but life took her in various game companies and eventually to Colossal Order as part of the Cities in Motion team.  In 2017 she was invited to give a TED talk about “How a video game might help us build better cities”. Currently she works as a games producer at Finland’s lottery company, Veikkaus.
